These terms apply to all purchases made in the Hlýfaðmur online store. The seller is:

The online store is intended for consumers. The contract language is Icelandic; this English version is provided for your convenience.
2. Conclusion of the contract
The product presentations on the website are not binding offers but an invitation to place an order. By clicking the button to complete payment, you place a binding order. Immediately afterwards you receive an automatic email confirming receipt of your order; this confirmation does not yet constitute acceptance. The contract is concluded when we accept your order, at the latest when we notify you that the product has been shipped. Before submitting your order, you can review all details and correct any input errors.
3. Storage of the contract
We store your order details and send them to you together with these terms in the order confirmation email. You can also access these terms at any time on this page.
4. Prices and shipping costs
All prices are in Icelandic krónur (ISK). Shipping to Iceland is free. The final price is shown before you confirm your order.
5. Payment
You can pay with the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is processed through a secure payment gateway and is charged when the order is placed.
6. Delivery
We ship to Iceland only. Delivery time: 1–3 business days for processing and 9–12 business days for shipping – usually 10–15 business days in total. You will find more information in our shipping policy.
How we work
To avoid holding stock and tying up capital unnecessarily, part of our range is sourced specifically after your order is received. We do our best to deliver within the stated delivery time, but occasional delays may occur. If a product turns out to be unavailable, we will let you know without delay and you will of course receive a full refund. This arrangement does not affect your right of withdrawal or return, your statutory consumer rights, or the general reliability of our service.
7. Retention of title
The product remains our property until it has been paid for in full.
8. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. In addition, we offer a voluntary 30-day return right. All details, including the model withdrawal form, are in our returns policy. The buyer bears the direct cost of returns.
9. Defects
The statutory rules on consumer sales apply to defects. You have rights in respect of defects that existed at the time of delivery for at least two years from delivery of the product. Contact us at support@hlyfadmur.com if a product turns out to be defective.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and in accordance with mandatory statutory provisions, including product liability. Otherwise, liability for simple negligence is limited to breaches of essential contractual obligations and to foreseeable damage typical for contracts of this kind.
11. Safe use
Hlýfaðmur products are intended for the age group stated for each product and are not medical devices. Follow the size guidance and care instructions. Sleep pods are not suitable for babies.
12. Applicable law and jurisdiction
The contract is governed by German law, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are habitually resident (e.g. Icelandic consumer sales and consumer contract law). You can always bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence.
13. Dispute resolution
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Please contact us first if anything comes up – we want to find a solution with you.
